This week is probably an emotional roller coaster trip for Oneplus fans. The company made its debut oneplus Nord CE 5G as expected but made a mistake asking Owner Oneplus 7 about their experiences with non-existent features. Then surprisingly announced Oneplus Nord N200 5G before announcing a kind of merger with a sibling and opposition rival. The last event might have produced a lot of attention and questions among Oneplus fans, but the company puts at least one doubt to rest, convincing Oneplus International users that it will stick to Oxygeno, at least for the future.
Portents of Oneplus and Oppo finally joined when the Oneplus CEO Pete Lau, former OPPO engineer, took several responsibilities in Oppo. Links between Oppo, Oneplus, and even Vivo are well-known in the industry despite the company’s rejection. Then it is not surprising, then, that Oppo and OnePlus will achieve a closer partnership which in turn can see two merge in several aspects.
Last March, Oneplus announced that it was a retired OS Hydrogen itself and adopted Coloros Oppo for mobile phones sold in China. Oppo has sent an Android version that does not have the Google Play service and application, the same as the Coloros Oppo version for China. Oneplus confirmed the switch as something useful for Chinese users because Coloros had more time serving the market.
Given the announcement of several oneplus teams and oppo further, there may be some concerns that Oneplus will do the same thing with oxygeno. Responding to mysmartprice questions, the company assured that nothing has changed about the android experience offered to market outside of China. In other words, nothing will change about the use of oxygeno on OnePlus phones sold in the global market.
This position pretty much guarantees Lau that nothing really changes as far as it concerns the oneplus brand. Whether it remains the same in the long run, only time will tell. Many Oneplus users, however, have vocally dissatisfied with how the company handles Oxygenos 11 updates, but it is not clear whether switching to Coloro Oppo will make everything better or worse for them.
